Meaning analysis of EU safety regulations for EN 957-6 electric treadmills or mechanical treadmills
1. Pressure and Shear point of contact area
1.1 If gap between ground and any component is lower than 60mm while adjusting pedal height, adjustment speed<1°/s.1.2 Users can stop treadmills.
2. Transmission and rotating parts
2.1 We use testing bar to test all of the gap. There should be no gap between transmission belt, rear roller and ground as much as possible, and should also not touch the ground as well.2.2 The toe cover should cover the width of rear wheel roller, and also be controlled within 0°~15° under any height adjustment.
2.3 Testing bar can't be drawn into the machine between rear roller and drive belt, toe cover and transmission belt.
2.4 The motor system must comply with the relevant regulations of EN 292
2.5 Gap between rear wheel cover and transmission belt >10mm
2.6 Gap between toe cover and transmission≧ 10mm
3. Emergency stop test
3.1 All of Electric Fitness Equipmet must have emergency/safety stop button.
3.2 Emergency/safety stop button should be apart to two types: Pressing button structure / Pulling clip structure
3.3 When the emergency/safety stop button is actuated (open circuit), the switch cannot be reset automatically
3.4 The contact part of manual emergency/safety stop button should be fully open.
3.5 Manual emergency/safety stop button must be easy for users to operate
3.6 When pressing the emergency botton, the power supply to the motor should be cut off, and the motor must stop rotating under any circumstances
3.7 Color requirements of safety switch : Red switch / Yellow background
4. Structural Stability Test
4.1 Test condition:Weight è100kg Speed è8~10km/h4.2 The elevation angle is adjusted from the lowest to the highest position. When the movement direction is within a range of ±10°, and within a range of 5° in other directions, the machine must not overturn.
5. Static test
5.1 Test condition: H Class è400kg S Class è600kg5.2 Test position: Execute load test individually from flat, middle and highest positions for up to one minute.
5.3 Measurement method: Fix the position of running transmission center. Put on a force at the place where behind running area around 66%, force area is 300mm×300mm. If the height of equipment is adjustable, force point must be in the flat, medium-high and highest position as the measurement position.
5.4 Standard of Judgement: The product complies with the instructions and can work normally without any damages.
6. Spin bike platform test
6.1 Test Condition:6.1.1 Force weight: Vertical force of 2000N
6.1.2 Force position: In the middle of the platform
6.1.3 Force application area: Width = platform width
6.1.4 Force time: 5 minutes
6.2 Judgement standard
6.2.1 Anti-skid area> 400mm×70mm
6.2.2 Friction coefficient>0.5
6.2.3 Permanent deformation<3%
7. Impact Durability Test
7.1 Test condition:7.1.1Using 155/13R car tire, tire pressure 1.5bar, with total load capacity weight of the machine, drop height is 10mm, frequency≧30 times/min
7.1.2 Impact times: H Class 12000times with max speed of machine. S Class 100000 times with max speed of machine.
7.2 Test position: 66% of the place from behind the rear side of the treadmill.PS. It is allowable for speed adjustment if it occur resonance phenomenon, the adjustment range within±15%.
8. Test of rising temperature
8.1 Test condition8.1.1 Using 155/13R car tire, tire pressure 1.5bar, with total load capacity weight of the machine, drop height is 10mm, frequency≧30 times/min
8.1.2 Test time: H Class 30 minutes ; S Class 60 minutes
8.1.3 Test speed: Max speed of the machine
8.2 Judge standard: The accessible surface temperature should not exceed 65°C.9. Test of handle and handrail
9.1 Test Method:9.1.1 A 1000N vertical force is applied to the handle, force area is 80±5mm.
9.1.2 A 500N horizontal force is applied to the handle, force area is 80±5mm.
9.2 Handle size requirement:
9.2.1 Need to be wider than the width of the transmission belt over 50mm
9.2.2 Height between 800~950mm
9.2.3 The width between the handrails shall not exceed 900 mm.
9.2.4 Lengh of handle can't shorter 30% than lengh running surface.
9.3 Judge standard: The permanent deformation of handle and handrail shall not exceed 3%10. Test standard of running deck
10.1 Running deck=lengh of running surface. Width≧80mm10.2 The slip resistant surface of the running deck shall be at least 400mm×70 mm. (Based on ISO 5904)
10.3 The slip resistant surface shall have a coefficient of friction over 0.5
10.4 A force 2000N is applied to non slip surface for 5 minutes, the permanent deformation cannot exceed 3%. Side handrail and running deck can't be disengaged.
